Dry needling is used to target trigger points in the body. It's part of larger approach that includes a combination of exercise, manual therapy, heat therapy, and education.
You will be greeted by the provider and complete a consent to treat and physical history. Next we talk through your physical history and start physical tests and measurements. You'll explain the history of your injury and your current limitations. Then we will create an individualized treatment plan around your goals, the estimated number of treatments required, and the time needed for recovery. Each treatment is 1 hr with the Physical Therapist and includes a combination of 1:1 Manual Therapy and 1:1 Therapeutic Exercise. At the end of your treatment you'll receive a customized workout routine via text. The text includes video for the assigned exercise's which take 10 and 20 minutes to complete each day. Lastly, will set up a treatment cadence around your schedule and budget.
We provide patients with concierge care. As a Trifecta Patient, you will receive our personal cell phone numbers to call/text. No phone trees, no hold times, no wasted time. This also means that you do not need a referral from your primary care physician or an orthopedic surgeon. This saves you the cost of a co-pay and the time required for the appointment. It also means you can be seen for multiple body parts in a single visit. Under the insurance model, the insurance company determines the number of visits and the body parts treated, not your PT.
Consumers are sometimes confused when it comes to the differences between Physical Therapy, Massage Therapy, Physical Training, and Acupuncture. Unlike certification-based fields, Physical Therapists have a doctorate, DPT. (8 years of training/education + board exam). We are Muscle, Bone, Ligament, Tendon, and Joint Specialists.
